Doll friends are the best pt2

This is how the doll came (again, minus the clothing)
She is a S.I.S head (which is my favorite to paint)
on a model muse body. I absolutely love the
combo.
I was watching a movie on my computer while I was
getting ready to do her hair, and I remembered to snap
the before shot just before I started.

Introducing Vanessa

Vanessa is a full face repaint using
artistic acrylics and sealers.
Her jewelry is custom made out of
sterling silver.
Her shoes are from Mattel.
Vanessa was gifted to me from
Vanessa fashion dolls at van's doll treasures

Her hair was washed and twisted up in knots.

Vanessa is wearing an original design
by a new friend of mine on Facebook
Vince Nowell
His design company is named
Vince Nowell Designs.
Check him out,
 his creations are really good.

Thanks Vanessa for your gift
and thanks Vince for your wonderful
dress for my doll to wear.

Doll friends are the best!

Every now and again you come across people who are a blessing to you. Doll friends are no exception. I started this blog by meeting someone on Face Book who shares my passion for dolls. Thru this blog and Fb, I have met several people who have been a blessing to me in my life. The first of this series (Doll Friends are the best)  is dedicated to them.

Ok, so this is how the doll arrived (minus the clothing)
She had wild hair, and her lower part was very
flexible. A day trip to the spa was all she needed
to get that under control. She worked those leg muscles!

After I assessed the hair situation, noting
that all the hair was there and not chopped
off in spots, it was time for a trip to the
Chynadoll Salon :)

Introducing Debbie

Debbie has had a comb out and trim
to her long lovely mane. It was washed
and layered to frame her face.

Debbie, has a full face repaint using artistic
acrylics and sealers.

She is wearing a custom made outfit and jewelry.
