ReplyDeleteLove what you did with her hair, and the face repaint. Though, and this is just my opinion. I think I would have stayed with the pink lipstick (to match her eyes,dress,and shoes), but as a repaint. As the original "pink lips", weren't quite as sexy as you have repainted to be.

Love the hair, face paint, and the dress! While dolls and some dark skinned people can pull off pink lipstick, pink lips on dark-skinned dolls is one of my pet peeves. Love what you did.

Loving the dress. Also what did you use to get the curl in her hair. Do you use any gel or anything on her hair? I agree with you about the pink lips. Your choice of color is much much nicer.

ReplyDeleteThanks Ken lol, no the bright pink lipstick was not working for me:) I tried several variations of the shade and her skin is way to dark! My pet peeve with Mattel painting African American barbies is that they put crazy shades that don't compliment the skin tone! That's why at Chynadoll world, they reflect what I would like to see on African American skin tones:)

Fabulous! That dress is almost showing her goodies. Hope she not pantiless like Debbie's dolls. Love everything about her. Yeah, the pink lips definitely had to go. Darker skinned dolls can't pull that off any better than most darker skinned people.
