Doll friends are the best!

Every now and again you come across people who are a blessing to you. Doll friends are no exception. I started this blog by meeting someone on Face Book who shares my passion for dolls. Thru this blog and Fb, I have met several people who have been a blessing to me in my life. The first of this series (Doll Friends are the best)  is dedicated to them.

Ok, so this is how the doll arrived (minus the clothing)
She had wild hair, and her lower part was very
flexible. A day trip to the spa was all she needed
to get that under control. She worked those leg muscles!

After I assessed the hair situation, noting
that all the hair was there and not chopped
off in spots, it was time for a trip to the
Chynadoll Salon :)

Introducing Debbie

Debbie has had a comb out and trim
to her long lovely mane. It was washed
and layered to frame her face.

Debbie, has a full face repaint using artistic
acrylics and sealers.

She is wearing a custom made outfit and jewelry.

  1. You are a genius when it comes to hair. Love your new Debbie doll. Look how well the jewelry matches the design on the dress. You go girl! Love your little waiting room, too. I sure wish I could get inspired to do hair. Soon.

  2. Loving Debbie, her hair came out beautiful. You are going to have to write a post on Chynadoll's Tips and Tricks for fixing doll's hair. So talented! I am all thumbs when it comes to painting or hair styling.

  3. Thanks Vanessa, yes my girls just love their visit to the Chynadoll Salon LOL. The waiting room was inspired by an actual room I waited in the other day. I was inspired by it and thought it would be nice for a doll to sit in and wait :)

Thanks Frannie, I will write a post just for you on fixing doll hair lol. If you ever have a doll that needs to visit the Chynadoll Salon, just let me know and we can make arrangements for that. I actually have a class of doll stuff (painting, hair, jewelry etc) on Saturday mornings from time to time (free of charge lol) let me know if your interested in that as well. Send me an email or phone message and I will let you know the next class :)

  4. Wow! This does not even look like the same doll, but I knew you would work wonders with her.

She had been here for years... and I mean years probably waiting patiently for her trip to your salon.

I wish I could visit the salon. You should see this head of mine.

    :-)
